PART B: DIGIMON CARD GAME

1. How to play

  • Win by reducing the opponent's security stack to 0 and then hitting them with a successful attack that is not blocked, so they have no security cards left to reveal. [GUIDE: search snippet; background knowledge]
  • Deck = exactly 50 cards, max 4 copies per card number. The separate Digi-Egg deck holds 0 to 5 cards. [GUIDE, quoted from rulebook summaries]
  • Setup: draw 5 cards, place 5 cards from the top of your main deck face-down as your security stack. [GUIDE]
  • One memory gauge is shared by both players. You pay card costs by moving the gauge toward your opponent's side. [GUIDE]
  • When your memory would go past 10 on the opponent's side, your turn ends and the gauge sets to 3 on their side. This is background knowledge, not verified.
  • Turn: Unsuspend (stand), Draw, Breeding phase (hatch a Digi-Egg or move to the battle area), Main phase (play, digivolve, use effects, attack). [Background knowledge, not verified]
  • Card types: Digi-Egg, Digimon, Tamer, Option. Digimon digivolve onto lower-level Digimon to gain stats and effects. [Background knowledge]
  • Combat: suspend a Digimon to attack. If the target is a Digimon, compare DP. If the attack hits the player, the top security card is revealed and checked, then a security battle happens. [Background knowledge]
  • Resources: memory (shared), hand, security stack, the digivolution stack, and breeding area.
  • Beginner tip: play starter decks first and check the official rule PDFs (hk.digimoncard.com general_rule.pdf; digimoncard.io manual). [Sources found, contents not read]
  • Worldwide Unification from April 2025 aligns the game across English, Japanese and Asian markets. [GUIDE: esports.net / world.digimoncard.com snippet]

2. Languages available

  • Japanese, English and Asia-region editions exist. "Worldwide Unification" since Apr 2025 standardizes the game across regions, including the English, Japanese and Asian markets. [GUIDE]
  • Official world site: world.digimoncard.com; a Hong Kong site hosts the rules PDF (hk.digimoncard.com). [Seen in results]
  • Specific Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese print runs: not verified this session. [UNVERIFIED]
  • Region differences in release timing and card pools: not verified. [GAP]

3. Pricing

Item Price Confidence
Booster box (24 packs of 12 cards) $89.99 (New Awakening), $109.99 (Secret Crisis) [OBSERVED retailer listings: Retrofix, Noble Knight]
Booster pack Not found; I derive about $3.75 to $4.58 per pack from the box prices, which is an estimate [DERIVED, not MSRP]
World Convergence booster box about $90 [OBSERVED / GUIDE, delightfultcg]
Special boxes / chase-heavy releases Range $60 (tins) to $130 [GUIDE]
Advanced Booster Digimon Generation (AD-01) box $130 listed (down from $160) [OBSERVED, Australian retailer listing, currency unclear]
Starter deck About £8.95 (UK retailer); a $39.00 Jesmon listing looks like a bad data entry [OBSERVED; US MSRP UNVERIFIED]
Tamer's Evolution Box listed at Bandai site and Asmodee UK; price not read [UNVERIFIED]
  • Box pack count conflicts: one guide says 24 packs per box, another says 12 packs. EX-12 guide says 24 packs and 12 boxes per case. [Conflict; the 24-pack figure is more consistent in recent sets]
  • Street vs MSRP: no reliable 2026 comparison found. [UNVERIFIED]

4. Rarity tiers and prices

  • Ladder: Common (C), Uncommon (U), Rare (R), Super Rare (SR), Secret Rare (SEC), plus Alternate Art parallels and SP (Special Art) cards. [GUIDE: tcgtalk Shambala guide]
  • Pull rates in EX-12 Digital World Shambala (July 2026, from 500+ packs by one source): SR about 1 in 5 to 6 packs, alternate art / parallel about 1 in 8 to 12, SEC about 1 in 96 packs, SP rarely appears in a box. [GUIDE; sample size is the author's claim]
  • Launch prices (EX-12) [OBSERVED, Japan market converted to USD by the source]: Susanoomon SEC about 69,000 yen (about $465); Amaterasuman SP about 20,000 yen (about $135); Omnimon SR/UR about 8,980 yen (about $60); Agumon foil parallel about 2,480 yen (about $17).
  • Per-tier typical prices for C, U, R: not found. [UNVERIFIED]
  • Alternate Art Secret Rare cards are described as the hardest to find and most valuable. [GUIDE]
